Adults aren't the only ones who have a hard time with kidney and urinary tract problems.
Children, young adults and their families face many challenges.
At the Kidney & Urology Foundation, we have been committed, from day one, to improving the lives of children and young adults afflicted with kidney or urologic disease.
We understand that especially with kids, it isn’t just about taking medicine on time and making sure you eat the right things. Kids need to have the chance to hang out, explore, and grow. The Pediatric Enrichment Program (PEP) does just that. We organize field trips, led by experienced chaperones and medical staff.
Over the years, the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America arranged for more than 200 New York and New Jersey pediatric patients and their families to attend enriching and entertaining trips to sports and cultural events.
Special thanks to our Pediatric Heroes for underwriting the cost of the tickets and for providing hats and t-shirts to our ‘kids’.
