Patient Emergency Grants

The Kidney & Urology Foundation of America, now in its seventh decade, is a national not-for-profit organization that fosters programs and research that improve life for kidney and urology patients, their families and for individuals waiting for organ and tissue transplants.

At KUFA, we measure our success by our ability to respond meaningfully and personally to the public.

The Kidney & Urology Foundation of America’s (KUFA) PATIENT EMERGENCY GRANT PROGRAM (PEG) provides financial assistance to End Stage Renal Disease patients.  Grants are LIMITED to $100 per patient, per year.  Assistance is provided for emergency situations only, and not for chronic or recurrent conditions.  For example, our committee would consider a request for a patient who has broken his/her glasses and needs to replace them.

Applications must go through your Social Worker and will not be faxed directly to patients.  The Social Worker should be prepared to justify the requested amount (up to $100).

To request an application, please have your social worker contact our Program Department at 800.633.6628.
